This front railing had reached the point where a fresh coat of paint alone wouldn't last. Before we could paint, we had to carefully take it apart, rebuild the sections that had deteriorated, and prepare every surface for a finish that would hold up to Wisconsin's weather.
That's why we never rush to cover up damaged wood. Taking the time to rebuild it first means this railing not only looks better today, but will stay that way for years to come.
